Merck KGaA is one of the leading pharmaceutical and chemical companies worldwide, with around 63,000 employees in 65 countries working in its Life Science, Healthcare and Electronics sectors. Hundreds of its departments send email newsletters to employees and customers. We developed a central, multi-client newsletter tool for them, and we still run it today. The departments use it to design their own newsletters in line with the corporate design, send them and evaluate their campaigns. We also make sure that recipient lists are managed securely and that privacy rules are met worldwide.
Result
We wrote the concept, built the tool and designed the newsletter templates. Newsletters are put together in a drag and drop editor. It takes only a few steps from the first idea to sending and a detailed analysis.
The tool is our own development and runs on desktop, tablet and smartphone. It comes with a separate support and onboarding portal that helps with setup and graphic design. Departments can also request their own client of the system there online. cloudshift® handles the technical operation.
