Scope

This statement applies to the Convecto GmbH website in its English and German versions.

Compliance status

We want everyone to be able to use our website, including with a screen reader, with the keyboard alone or with the display enlarged. We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at conformance level AA as our benchmark. The website meets these requirements.

What is in place

  • You can use the website with the keyboard. A clear outline shows which element is selected. The “Skip to content” link takes you past the navigation.
  • Every page is structured with headings and marked-up regions, and its language is set.
  • Images have text alternatives. Purely decorative elements are hidden from screen readers.
  • Text meets the required contrast against its background.
  • Films with spoken text have captions that you can switch on and off.
  • The films at the top of the home page and the About page can be paused.
  • “Pause animations” at the bottom of every page stops everything that moves by itself, including films and the scrolling band. Your choice applies to all pages until you change it.
  • If you turn on “Reduce motion” in your operating system, animations and films that play automatically are switched off as well.
  • Anything you can drag with the mouse can also be reached by scrolling as usual.

Known barriers

We are not currently aware of any barriers.

How this statement was prepared

This statement is based on a self-assessment. We checked every page automatically with axe against WCAG 2.2 AA. In the browser we then checked by hand: keyboard use, contrast, text alternatives, structure, display at 400% zoom and with increased text spacing. Finally, we tested the pages with the VoiceOver screen reader.

Report a barrier

Have you come across a barrier, or is there content you cannot use? Email or call us. Please tell us the address of the page and briefly describe the problem. We will get back to you as soon as we can.
